The speed at which technology has progressed has meant that businesses are often exposed to vast amounts of change in order to make sure that they keep up with competitors and not end up as the next Kodak and Blockbuster. However, change management is a tricky task that involves more than just IT systems and processes, it affects people who are often the barrier in making sure change is successfully implemented within an organisation.

This workshop will provide practical tools and advice around successfully driving change across the line.

In addition, through breakout sessions, you will learn and identify the best approach in order to minimize resistance, whilst maximising the business buy-in. Ultimately, by the end of the workshop, you will feel confident enough to implement and manage changes within your own organisation.

This activity has reduced cost, supported active change governance and is a foundation for speeding up the pace of change.

Paul Beadsmoore is leading the transformation of the Law Society as the Programme Director of a major change programme called Shaping our Future. Paul has a wealth of experience successfully leading multiple change programmes at British Airways, Emirates and Avis over the last 20+ years.


Erica Hodgson

Business Change Lead, The Law Society


Summary

As a change professional Erica specialises in designing and delivering cultural change processes for large-scale transformation programmes. She has a proven track record in developing strategic approaches and adapting methodologies to meet the unique needs of a variety of organisational cultures and growth requirements. Erica draws from her deep understanding and eclectic experience in art, psychology, technology and enterprise to create proprietary, effective strategies to support change and transformation programmes.

Steve Marjot

Head of Change Centre of Excellence, Royal Bank of Scotland


Summary

Stephen is the Head of the Group Change Centre of Excellence at RBS within its Transformation Service. They partner with federated Business-line change teams across the Group to deliver a change operating model that enables transparency, control, efficiency and disciplined delivery. This is achieved through standards, methodologies, tooling, subject matter expertise, training and certification and communities of practice for Transformation change activity. Stephen has worked for over 30 years across the Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Retail and Utility markets as both a senior programme and change practitioner and for 12 years ran his own PPM Consultancy which specialised in implementation processes and tools to realise Enterprise benefits from work and resource management.

Jonathan Beckett

Reporting Lead and Product Owner, Royal Bank of Scotland


Summary

Working in the Financial Services Industry for 16 years, Jonathan is the Product Owner of the Reporting Tools and Strategy used across the RBS Change Portfolio. He has experience and passion in implementing changes to allow the business to operate efficiently and make informed decisions by leveraging the benefits of data, analytics and reporting.

Krystina Pincott

Resource & Engagement Manager, PRS for Music


Summary

Having led business teams, worked within IT departments and, most recently, as part of PRS for Music’s Transformation Leadership Team, Krystina has a broad range of experience of delivering transformation from organisational through to tech-led change. Krystina’s approach involves putting people at the heart of any change she manages, leading to successful outcomes for the business and a team that understands and is engaged with this change.

Courtney Youngberg

Change Manager, PRS for Music


Summary

Courtney is a Change Manager at PRS for Music, with strategic change management experience across industries and types of organisational change in Australia and the UK. In almost all change programmes, system and tech adoption is key: Courtney applies her design thinking and psychology knowledge to lead people-centric change activities for those on the front and back-end to help new ways of working stick.
