Improving questioning skills is a powerful way to build stronger, better relationships, both professionally and personally.

This critical communication skill can be continuously improved and adapted to build more trusting relationships that should in turn bring better results. Learning what to listen for as people answer your questions and how to keep the conversation focused on the important issues can be harnessed with effective questioning skills, and you'll be amazed at the impact it has and the positive responses you get.

Our guest speaker will explore the different types of questions and the impact they have on your conversations, to avoid the everyday traps that most of us don't even realize we are making when attempting to drive engagement.

By attending this session, you will learn:

  • Key question types, their uses and how to sequence questions to fully understand
  • How to eliminate problem questions from your repertoire and replace them with questions that build rapport and help you gain a deeper understanding of the other person.
  • Ways to gain a deeper understanding of others and their perspectives through active listening without judgment so that decisions are based on information rather then assumption to reduce levels of tension and conflict.
