Guest Speaker Topic - To be confirmed
The uncertainties due to the pandemic are making the annual budgeting and planning process especially challenging. For most companies, traditional planning and budgeting has a comfortable certainty built into it. Managers like knowing what is expected of them. Senior Leadership are used to the control it connotes. It’s hard to give that up. But precision is not the same as accuracy, and plans that are flexible enough to focus on what truly creates value are worth the discomfort. During each session a guest speaker will share their experiences and insights on why companies need to transition away from the conventional predict, command, and control approach to strategic and flexible portfolio guidelines that drive the budgeting and adaptation processes and decisions. The session will focus on:

  • Understanding the criticality of changing the budgeting planning process to deliver in a world of unpredictable and accelerating change.
  • Understand ways to influence the budgeting decision making process from financial precision to strategic success.
  • Providing flexible budgeting plans that closer justify value and closer align risk and reward.
