Key concepts: Ethics for AI and ML

AI & ML has enabled breakthrough advancements in certain areas such as healthcare, agriculture, education and transportation.  However, the implementation of new technology in organisations has begun to raise complex questions regarding societal concerns.

One such example can be witnessed in 2018, whereby Amazon’s AI tool that was brought into production in 2014 to select candidates for hire was found to discriminate against women. Before long, Amazon’s internal team spotted that the AI tool used to increase efficiency appeared sexist, it had largely been supplied CVs by men and “learned” that men were the optimal candidate.

In this pre-recorded webinar from our 2019 conference, Nadine will cover beyond just the key ethical considerations, but also the challenge they pose for technology leaders.

In this webinar you will learn:

  • How to ensure that when creating AI & ML software that software development teams take responsibility for algorithms that powers them
